Panelists include Edda Coscioni, lead stylist and salon owner of Salon Edda and Susan Nicholl, General Manager of Theatre on the Lake. A portion of every ticket sold benefits GirlForward, a not-for-profit organization that helps create and enhance opportunities for girls who have been displaced by conflict and persecution. Lakeview: The Lakeview Chamber of Commerce and Front Porch Concerts proudly present “PorchFest Lakeview”! On Sunday June 2 from 1-5 pm, this community-building festival features local musicians performing on front porches within a few blocks of South Lakeview. Lakeview residents volunteer their porches to host the concerts and local musicians will perform throughout the afternoon. Along with lots of great music, there will be activities, food, craft beer (cash only), and great times with the community! Find more information on the event’s Facebook page. Bucktown and Wicker Park: Mark your calendars for Free Morning Yoga at FjallRaven on Friday, April 26 at 8 am. This yoga class is always free and happens every Friday from 8 am to 9 am. Professional instructor Cassi Stuckman will lead the class. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Bring your own yoga mat. Oak Park: It’s time again for What’s Blooming on Harrison! This family-oriented event will be held on Saturday, May 18. The Oak Park Arts District will be highlighted with artist demonstrations, live music, dance performances, and an art fair featuring guest artists and local crafts people. This fantastic festival takes over Harrison Street from Cuyler Avenue to Humphrey from 11 am to 7 pm. Music will continue at the Taylor Avenue Beer Garden and Main Stage until 9 pm. Family Fun Activities include a children’s carnival, live music, dance, craft demonstrations, and hands-on workshops. The Family Stage will feature young Oak Park performers as well!
