Isla Pilipina Restaurant is a Lincoln Square restaurant located at 2501 W. Lawrence Avenue in the Family Plaza. It’s really easy to get there on public transportation too, either by bus (Western or Lawrence) or Brown Line. The restaurant is very casual and has a pretty homey feel to it.
With all the hoopla going on around here with the Chicago Cubs, Halloween is just around the corner, but before then, this weekend brings Chicagoans some great pre-Halloween festivities in preparation for Halloween!
It’s not too late to take advantage of this year’s Restaurant Week brought to you by the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. From last Sunday, 10/16, through tomorrow, Friday 10/21, participating neighborhood restaurants have been offering specials such as prix fixe menus, freebies, and discounted prices.
Put a pot of Mums on each step leading to your front door. They bloom in sun or shade. Keep them blooming longer by watering when dry and removing spent flowers. They come in a wide variety of colors and sizes and will bloom till the hard frost.
Located at 103 S. Main Street in Naperville, Q-BBQ is not to be missed. They also have locations at 124 N. Marion Street in Oak Park, 70 S. LaGrange Road in LaGrange, and 79 US Highway 41 in Shererville, Indiana. Each location has a slightly different look and feel but the best part is their food.
Well now, we have what very well may be an Indian Summer this weekend with temps in the 70’s which happens to be perfect timing for Chicago’s outdoor events taking place this weekend!
‘Tis the season for all things spooky, giving the International Museum of Surgical Science (1524 N. Lake Shore Dr.) a chance to shine by candlelight for a Night at 1524 walking tours and reception tomorrow, 10/14, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
