I so look forward to weekends in Chicago because there is always something fun going on rain or shine, cold or hot! This weekend is no exception as Chicagoans begin gearing-up for the arrival of summer!!
Bucktown and Wicker Park: After more than 70 years of business, Sam’s Red Hots is leaving Bucktown. Don’t cry yet; it’s being replaced by Jr’s Red Hots! If all his ducks are in a row, owner Arturo Torres Jr. predicts the new eatery will open next weekend.
I make it a point to seek out some of my favorite cuisines in the city. Italian food always seems to be left off that list. I love Italian, it’s just not always at the forefront of my mind when choosing a restaurant. Luckily, one evening, my date suggested Frasca Pizzeria + Wine Bar.

Bucktown and Wicker Park: The food scene in Wicker Park continues to expand with the addition of new sushi restaurant Sushi Taku. Located at 1904 W. Division St., the restaurant opens on Wednesday. The menu is extensive, offering 22 signature rolls. Owner Tom Li has billed the Fire Dragon roll and Spicy Crispy Tuna Roll as two of his favorites.
