Restaurant Review: Savanna

The weekend isn’t the only time for brunch, come to Savanna where breakfast, lunch, and brunch are offered seven days a week!

For those of us who are true brunch lovers, we can finally have it any day we want. Located at 4111 N Lincoln Ave, Savanna offers some of the most decadent breakfast dishes from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day of the week. Savanna prides themselves on the emphasis they place on the quality of each ingredient that they use.

As stated on their website, “We know the importance of each ingredient, and we [put in the] effort to carry to the table all the properties of good food [and] at the same time bringing to your senses all the emotions.”

You can’t go wrong with any of the homemade pancakes featured on their menu. The Red Velvet Pancakes are moist and fluffy with vanilla cream cheese, cream anglaise, chocolate sauce, strawberry compote, and walnuts sprinkled with powdered sugar. These pancakes will change everything you thought you knew about red velvet! For the more adventurous eater, try The Tower Waffle. Made with a pepper bacon waffle, fried chicken, bacon, scallions, and spicy syrup, this pancake will satisfy all your savory cravings. They also offer a classic Buttermilk pancake with several flavor options including banana, blueberry, strawberry, cinnamon apple, and many more.

For those who aren’t in the mood for sweet pastries, they offer a lot of lighter menu options as well. The Quinoa Breakfast is packed with flavor. Made with grilled onion, mushrooms, tomatoes, cilantro, eggs, and feta cheeses guacamole – your mouth won’t be able to stop watering. And for those who love the classics, their Avocado Toast is bold and brilliant. Their fresh capers and smoked salmon reinvent this modern delicacy.

Their menu features every breakfast classic. From crepes and toast to omelets and eggs benedict, each one is made with delicacy and fresh ingredients! Their menu is full of so many different items that there is something for everyone to love. For those more interested in lunch, there are burgers, soups, and salads. They even offer a Black Bean Burger that is made with a veggie bean patty and is completely vegetarian. There is literally something for everyone!

While all their dishes are impressive, they take the extra step by providing delicious fresh-mixed juices as well. Using ingredients such as kale, spinach, green apple, orange juice, pineapple, and many more, these juices are as equally healthy as they are delicious.
