LAKEVIEW

Thanks to Southport Corridor News & Events we’re able to see a pictorial update on the progress of Lakeview’s Lincoln Hub at the intersection of Lincoln Wellington and Southport Avenues. Construction began in April and it looks like it will be completed any day now. The project’s purpose is to create a people-friendly space to slow down traffic for pedestrians and invite them to sit and linger. Traffic due to its construction has been a great frustration to many in the neighborhood so I’m sure whether or not they agree with the hub’s aesthetic it will be a relief when it’s completed.
