There’s still time to donate to the Garvy Elementary School’s annual walkathon. This year’s event will have the proceeds buy Chomebooks for an entire classroom at the school. Students donate $5 to participate and if they raise $25 or more will receive a t-shirt. Local businesses are also encouraged to donate $50 for recognition in the school’s newsletter. The organizers hope to raise $10000. In previous years the walkathon raised funds for the library and to purchase musical instruments for students.
