As the days to Christmas draw closer Chicago continues to offer great holiday events to make this time of year less stressful for you or perhaps just to get you into the holiday mood!

There’s still time to find a unique gift for those still left on your Christmas list at these neighborhood markets –

The Randolph Street Holiday Market returns this Saturday and Sunday (10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) to the Beaux Arts Plumber’s Hall (1340 W. Washington Street) in the West Loop neighborhood for its final holiday market of the season. Here you’ll be able to discover fabulous keepsakes timeless antiques modern treasures that include such items as art decorative objects house wares vintage & indie fashion jewelry and much more — in all price ranges from thrifty to extravagant! There’s also FREE parking and gift wrapping to make your holiday shopping even easier!!

The Chicago Irish Christmas Market takes place this Saturday and Sunday (11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.) at Montrose Green (1819 W. Montrose Avenue) in the Ravenswood neighborhood. Local produce festive crafts and artisan gifts wreaths and Christmas trees from the Farmer Garden’s Market seasonal food drinks from Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro desserts from Sweet Sensations and Phillippa’s Irish Brown Bread Irish entertainment and more are all featured at this European-style family-friendly outdoor Christmas market! And kids can have their photo taken with Santa from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. each day at the market!!

The Peterson Garden Project Holiday Market takes place Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Peterson Garden Project Headquarters (4642 N. Francisco Avenue) in the Ravenswood neighborhood. This Pop-up shop in the Learning Center offers one-of-a-kind handmade gifts from local artists that include knitted items jewelry candles gift cards garden ornaments baked goods and much more! Also 15% of your purchase will benefit the Peterson Garden Project. What better time of year to give back to the community than now!!

For those of you with little ones the Art Institute of Chicago (111 S. Michigan Avenue) in the Loop will be hosting the following holiday events –

Build Your Own Gingerbread House
– Saturday & Sunday 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. & 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Gingerbread kits along with frosting and decorating candy will be provided by the museum so you can create your own gingerbread house!

Caroling Tea
— Saturday & Sunday 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Sing along to holiday tunes while kids enjoy snacks and sweets and parents enjoy beer wine or cocktails at the cash bar!
