TECHNOLOGY TIPS – A COUPLE GREAT FOOD APPS

TECHNOLOGY TIPS – A COUPLE GREAT FOOD APPS

I like to go out to dinner. It’s one of those things that adds some great variety to my weeks. Then I started looking for ways in which I could save some money and still enjoy a meal I’ve not tasted before.

Enter a couple apps I found. The first many people may have heard before – Groupon. This app is free for any user. If you buy deals in the app you can track them by expiration date or location. You are able to redeem your deals directly from your smartphone. Groupon is supported by both iPhone and Android platforms.

Another app I like is How to Cook Everything. There are up to 2000 recipes ranging from omelets and grilled cheese to smoked pork shoulder and almond-stuffed squid. Another nice part of this app is the built-in grocery list and recipe timers to help with your cooking. Currently this app is only available for the iPhone.

My other app is a guilty pleasure Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals. This app is great once you’ve had practice but the ingredient lists and equipment suggestions which help out beginning cook (and the impatient cook too). There are instructional videos which are really helpful as well as the essentials section.

Bon A Petit!!
