Lakeview: Get ready for a 1920s themed Halloween party! TopAct Events presents an evening full of secrets, surprise, and murder! Come to Room 13, Old Chicago Inn’s very own Prohibition era-inspired speakeasy, for a classic 1920s interactive murder mystery party. This event is improv-inspired, where you get to play the role of a suspect, detective, or witness while mixing and mingling with others. Your ticket includes 1920s themed cocktail appetizers, raffle prize giveaways for mystery winners, professional photography capturing your experience, all murder mystery materials, and your very own character sketch. Lincoln Park: It’s officially fall! The perfect time for the Fall in Spain Wine Tasting at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba! On Tuesday October 22 from 6 to 8 pm, you’ll taste a lineup of 30 Spanish wines while enjoying signature pintxos and tapas from Executive Chef Eric Jorgensen. Connoisseurs from local distributors will be available to answer your wine questions while pouring you a taste of these beautiful vintages. Guests who find a new favorite can even put in a bottle order to purchase and enjoy at home. Tickets are $35 per guest (plus tax, gratuity not included). Bucktown and Wicker Park: It’s time for a pumpkin party! This Sunday October 6 at 10:30 am, Big City Readers and Antique Tacos are hosting a fabulous fall event. There will be a pumpkin-themed story time with Big City Readers and a delicious blood orange margarita from Antique Tacos. There will also be a special kids meal deal after the party! Chicago Loop: Want to enjoy some free live music this fall? Join the Barristers Big Band for their Academy Award Winning Songs concert on Friday October 18 from 6 to 8 pm at the Harold Washington Library.
