Laundry is either a large or small job, depending on the number of people in your family. If you have children, unfortunately it will be a daily chore. Nevertheless, everyone in the family should be responsible for bringing their own laundry down and even younger children can help with sorting and folding. Make sure you DO the laundry. Just getting it into the dryer is not done. Folded and put away is finished!

Restaurant Review – Hopcat

The Lakeview neighborhood has a veritable cornucopia of exciting restaurants, making it nearly impossible to choose a place to eat. Wandering up Clark St. earlier this week, I happened upon HopCat. The large, colorful stained glass windows are immediately inviting. The promise of over 100 beers on tap didn’t hurt either!

Restaurant Review – Giordano’s

I had friends in town from Austin this weekend, so naturally, we had to take them to have classic Chicago deep dish pizza. What better place than a Chicago staple, Giordano’s? We started with the calamari appetizer. It was a huge platter, with a mix of fried calamari, green beans, lemon rings, banana peppers, and shaved fennel.
