THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO – WE’RE HOPPIN’ ALL WEEKEND LONG!

This weekend brings us the Easter holiday on Sunday along with many pre-Easter festivities for kids and adults alike that will sure keep us hoppin’ all weekend long!

The Chicago Park District hosts the following citywide Easter Egg Hunts this Saturday with most events featuring treats arts & crafts face painting prizes and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny:

Hop’n Good Time (12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.)
Stanton Park (618 W Scott St) – Near North Side

Egg Hunt (10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. toddlers; 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. 6-12 year olds)
McKinley Park (2210 W Pershing Rd) – McKinley Park neighborhood

Egg Hunt (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)
Armour Square Park (3309 S Shields Ave) – Bridgeport neighborhood

Eggstravaganza (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.)
Sherwood Park (5701 S Shields Ave) – Englewood neighborhood

Some activities require pre-registration as well as a small admission fee so participants should call the individual parks for additional information.

Egg Hunt in Wonderland takes place Saturday (2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.) at Bubbles Academy (1504 N Freemont St) on the Near North Side. This annual egg hunt not only features an egg hunt in their open Meadow but also offers a tea party in the Tree House a chance to paint roses red with the Queen of Hearts a MAD Musical Concert and more! Don’t forget to visit with Bubbles’ White Rabbit either!!

Easter at Wolff’s Flea Market takes place Saturday (8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) at Wolff’s Flea Market (1775 N Rand Rd) in Palatine a suburb northwest of the City. This annual bash features an egg hunt fun visits with the Easter Bunny (bring your camera) crafts face painting magic games and more for the kids and over 300 vendors for the adults!

Breakfast With The Bunny takes place Saturday (9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.) at Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center (8400 W 31st St) in Brookfield a suburb west of the City. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Bunny as you enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and musical entertainment provided by Banjo Buddies! Then on Sunday the Discovery Center will host their Easter Champagne Brunch at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with a gourmet brunch and musical entertainment as well! Reservations are required for both events.
