TECHNOLOGY TIPS – SIRI UNVEILED

Have you ever wondered who is behind the voice of Apple’s Siri? This past week it was revealed on CNN that Susan Bennett a voice-over actress from Atlanta is the owner of Siri’s voice.

Back in July 2005 Bennett stated that she worked the entire month for four hours per day to record all the segments current iPhone users hear. Bennett has her own home recording booth and was unaware that her voice would become the voice of Siri. It was after a friend contacted her to see if she was in fact the voice. Ironically Bennett did not have a current iPhone so had to go to the Apple site to verfiy.

This is not her first voice-over that you may have heard. She’s also responsible for the voice you hear when passing through a Delta Airlines terminal. She’s also the voice of "Tillie the All-Time Teller" the ATM machine for First National Bank. She’s also on many GPS and telephone systems that you hear.
