THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO – EARLY EASTER DOESN’T CATCH CHICAGO OFF-GUARD!

This last weekend in March brings us an early Easter but it certainly doesn’t catch Chicago or the Chicagoland area off-guard! We’re ready for egg-stravaganza huntings and hanging out with Mr. Hippity Hop at these events in and around Chicago –

SATURDAY HUNTINGS

Easter Egg Hunt at Wicker Park takes place at the Wicker Park Fieldhouse (1425 N. Damen Avenue) in the Wicker Park neighborhood from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Kids of all ages will be on the hunt in the park for candy-filled Easter eggs then off to the fieldhouse for a viewing of the movie “Hop”!

Easter Egg Hunt at Senn Playlot Park takes place at Senn Playlot Park (5887 N. Ridge Avenue) in the Edgewater neighborhood at 10:00 a.m. Not only will kids of all ages be on the hunt for Easter eggs but they’ll also be meeting cast members from the play “Peter Rabbit and Me” at this Easter hunt hosted by Li’l Buds Theatre!

Mr. Hippity Hop at Loyola Park’s Tot Spot takes place at Loyola Park (1230 W. Greenleaf Avenue) in the Rogers Park neighborhood from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Kids will be joining Mr. Hippity Hop on an egg hunt to receive a prize!

10000 Eggs Up For Grabs takes place at Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens (1801 S. Indiana Avenue) in the South Loop from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This annual event for kids 10 and under and hosted by the Junior League of Chicago will have them hunting throughout the park for candy and toy filled Easter eggs. Kids should bring their own basket and in addition to candy they also will receive cookies and beverages!

Doggie Egg Hunt at Horner Park takes place at Horner Park (2741 W. Montrose Avenue) in the Albany Park neighborhood from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This Fido-friendly event now in its 10th year has your dog or dogs hunting the park for treat-filled eggs with their owners. The Easter Bunny will be on hand as well for a photo op to memorialize this special day!

Easter Egg Hunt at Wolff’s Flea Market takes place at Wolff’s Flea Market (1775 N. Rand Road) in Palatine a suburb northwest of Chicago beginning at 8:00 a.m. At this 3rd annual event kids can enjoy hunting for Easter eggs (11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) grabbing a quick lunch at the Sock Hop Café (11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) taking in some magic by Blake Everett (12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.) and then participate in carnival games (1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.). A special appearance by the Easter Bunny takes place from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. as well as face painting crafts giveaways and much more!

Easter Egg Hunt at Cantigny Park takes place at Cantigny Park (1S151 Winfield Road) in Wheaton a suburb west of Chicago beginning at 10:30 a.m. Not only will the kids be hunting for eggs (11:00 a.m.) on the lawns of the McCormick Museum but they will also be able to pet baby animals work on crafts and meet the Easter Bunny!

Easter Brunch at Café Ba Ba Reeba located at 2024 N. Halsted Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood at 10:00 a.m.

Easter Brunch at Mon Ami Gabi located 2300 N. Lincoln Park West in the Lincoln Park neighborhood at 10:30 a.m.

Easter Brunch at Paris Club located at 59 W. Hubbard Street on the Near North Side at 11:00 a.m.

Easter Breakfast at the Skydeck located at the Willis Tower (233 S. Wacker Drive) in The Loop at 11:00 a.m.

Easter Brunch Cruise on Spirit of Chicago located at Navy Pier (600 E. Grand Avenue) in the Streeterville neighborhood at 12:00 p.m.

Easter at Davis Street Fishmarket located at 501 Davis Street in Evanston at 10:30 a.m.
