It’s definitely June-time here in Chicago as "summer is in full swing!" Don’t believe me? See for yourself what’s in store –

Do Division Street Fest and Sidewalk Sale (East Village/Ukrainian Village)

Head on over to 2000 W. Division Street Saturday or Sunday for shopping opportunities at the sidewalk sale between Ashland Avenue and Leavitt Street with the fest extending from Leavitt Street to Damen Avenue for some great food and beer live music on two stages – Damen Stage Leavitt Stage DJs and special areas for the kids.

Mayfest Chicago (Lincoln Square)

This 12th annual German festival is located at 4700 N. Lincoln Avenue (Lincoln and Leland Avenues) featuring heaping plates of German food steins of beer maypole dancing live music and much more.

Lake View Sausage Fest (Wrigleyville)

Head on over to 3600 N. Sheffield Avenue for this 10th annual event just outside of Wrigley Field formerly known as the Lake View Music Fest which features arts and crafts vendors live music with food from area restaurants and producers of encased meats which includes Bobak’s Sausage Company Chicago’s Dog House Greek Delights Murphy’s Bleachers Notolli & Son Italian Sausage Shop and Paulina Meat Market. And the 10 individuals who raise the most pledges online are going to compete for the title of "Sausage King of Chicago" at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday!

June Jam (Roscoe Village)

Head on over to the grounds of Audubon School located at 3500 N. Hoyne Avenue (Addison Street and Hoyne Avenue) this Saturday and Sunday for this 5th annual fest which marks the end of the school year by featuring two days of food live music exhibits and interactive rides!

Chicago Tribune Printers Row Lit Fest (South Loop)

Billed as the largest free literary event in the Midwest this year’s Lit Fest (700 S. Dearborn Street) will feature over 200 vendors selling new used and antiquarian books along with author readings and signings panel discussions and storytelling for kids and more. Events taking place at the Harold Washington Library Center will require a ticket though!

57th Street Art Fair (Hyde Park/University of Chicago)

Billed as the oldest juried art fair in the Midwest this 63rd annual event (5700 S. Kenwood Avenue) will feature more than 250 artists showcasing their items such as ceramics glass jewelry leather photography paintings sculptures wood and more. Also want to learn tips for scoring deals on works of art? Then join the Art Buying Boot Camp which is a guided tour through the fair with an artist art-buying expert!

Eastside Millennium Art Festival (Loop)

Food vendors live music kids’ activities and 175 artists are featured at this festival located at 100 E. Lake Street (Michigan Avenue and Lake Street) and also known as the New Eastside Artworks Fest.

United Run for the Zoo (Lincoln Park)

Sunday brings the 29th annual 5K run or walk and a 10K run to the Lincoln Park Zoo (2200 N. Cannon Drive) which includes a New Balance technical T-shirt with prizes for the top fundraisers – RSVP required. Also featured at 10:00 a.m. for the kids is a Zebra Zip!

Dose Market (Streeterville)

Sunday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. the River East Art Center (435 E. Illinois Street) will be hosting a European-style market that will feature local accessories clothing food and housewares vendors which includes Truffle Truffle Chicago Honey Co-op Luxury Garage Sale Deliciously Vintage and more!

Portage Park Farmers Market (Portage Park)

Head on over to 4100 N. Long Avenue this Sunday (10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) for some produce cheese baked goods and more from our local farmers and vendors. Other Sunday neighborhood Farmers Markets to try are: Beverly Glenwood Logan Square Pilsen and Wicker Park/Bucktown.
