It’s not yet time to put away those running shoes. Edison Park announced its 14th Annual Turkey Trot to be held Thanksgiving morning at 9:30 am in beautiful Edison Park. The course is a 5k with a Gallop Race for the kids. You can register online or race day. Race day t-shirts are given out on a first-come first-served basis. This year’s race proceeds will go to The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago The Danny Did Foundation and Emmett’s Hope.

LAKEVIEW

Harry Caray’s in Wrigleyville is one of those places that Cubs fans enjoy before during or after a game. The local spot opened in the location formerly known as HiTops. During a Cubs news conference Monday the CEO of Harry Caray’s Grant DePorter announced that the location will close by next Monday. They are already scouting new locations in the area and should open again soon.

SOUTH LOOP

This October the legendary musical "Les Misérables" celebrated its 25th birthday with a 25th Anniversary Concert at the O2 Arena in London. Don’t miss your chance to experience this historical event including many of the show’s original cast tonight at 7:30pm for One Night Only at the AMC River East 21.

OLD TOWN

The movies keep coming to Chicago. Earlier this year Transformers 3 filmed for two months. Now another film is being shot called "Contagion." With a strong cast including Matt Damon Kate Winslet Jude Law Gwyneth Paltrow Laurence Fishburne and Marion Cotillard be on the lookout for star-sightings. The shoot is expected to keep cameras rolling through mid-December.

OAK PARK

Have you ever wondered how those massive inflated helium balloons never get away from their handlers during the parades? Local Oak Park native Mark Wagner grew up watching such icons as Bullwinkle J. Moose Rocky the Flying Squirrel Cookie Monster among others during the parades of his youth. This year will be his second as he practices handling for Chicago’s 77th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. On Saturday Wagner will be rehearsing with other handlers on the front lawn of the Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago.
