TECHNOLOGY TIPS – FACEBOOK TRICK THAT MOM WILL APPRECIATE

Cathy Mallers PhotoI don’t know about you but I am friends with my mom on Facebook. We have more of our relationship offline and don’t share a lot but she’s able to see my activity if she so chooses.

I usually tell people who are on Facebook to not put anything up there that they wouldn’t want their mom to see. Well the folks at Facebook have a way for you to hide those comments that mom just would not appreciate.

Log into your Facebook account. At the top right of your screen there is a drop down section called Account. Click on the arrow and select Privacy Settings. When the new page opens you can click on the link that says Customize settings (has a little pencil next to it). From there you can make choices on who can view/read/share information that you want.

I still stand by my original thought. Be sure not to post anything you don’t want someone else i.e. Mom to see or read. Once it is out there you cannot remove it.
