TECHNOLOGY TIPS – AN EASY WAY TO MOVE YOUR FILES TO A NEW COMPUTER
After a certain period of time like most people I was in the market to get a new computer. The irony is that I found this great software after I took a whole day to move files from my old computer to the new not to mention upgrading all my settings.
The software comes from Laplink who has been known to be a specialist in migrating information for over 10 years. I don’t know if some of you remember this but they had this serial cable that would connect to both computers in the same location as your printer. I digress.
The new software is aptly called PCmover. It’s an easy and efficient way of moving all your software settings and files from one PC to the other. For those who are switching to a MAC or Windows 7 there is a software for that too.
What’s great about this platform is you choose what moves from one PC to the other. The process takes a few hours and runs off a USB cord. You can download the software or you can order the software in a box with the USB cables.
If you are considering a move it will definitely be a lot easier now.
