THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO – NO SUMMER CHICAGO DOESN’T STOP US!

I can’t believe it’s the last weekend in July already! By the way has anyone seen summer yet? Actually I’m personally enjoying the cooler weather we’re having. It’s great to be outdoors and be able to enjoy the various Chicago events without the sweltering heat and bugs. In fact here’s this weekend’s line-up:

The Randolph Street Market Festival resumes again this Saturday and Sunday in the West Loop neighborhood at Randolph and Ada Streets. View antiques and vintage collectibles from over 200 dealers at this indoor/outdoor fair. Click here for further details.

The Taste of Lincoln Avenue covers four city blocks beginning at 2400 N. Lincoln Avenue this Saturday and Sunday. It’s their 26^th year featuring more than 300 food beer and arts vendors along with five stages for your musical entertainment and much more. The sixth annual Wicker Park Fest 2009 features up local cuisine arts and craft vendors as well as kids activities this Saturday and Sunday. Live music also provided on three stages. Click here for more information on this street fest and their band lineup.

Also in town this weekend is the Newberry Book Fair at the Newberry Library located at 60 W. Walton Street. This 25^th annual event offers more than 110000 books in 60 categories many at $2 or less. All books half-price on Sunday! Click here for more information.

Never seen a Clydesdale up close? Well you’re in luck because the Budweiser Clydesdales are at Navy Pier this weekend. A parade down Dock Street will take place from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Click here for further details.

The 52^nd annual Venetian Night is this Saturday at 8:00PM at Monroe Harbor. You don’t want to miss this year’s "Hollywood on the Lake" themed-procession of about 25 decorated and illuminated boats. Fireworks at 9:00 p.m. too! Click here to learn more.
