One such gem is Mia Francesca at 3311 N. Clark in the Lakeview neighborhood. This is the flagship location and the food is really worth the wait.

LINCOLN PARK

The weather is finally cooperating and with that comes one of our favorite offerings in Lincoln Park Green City Market.

The market is open from 7am – 1pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting today. Located at the south end of Lincoln Park between Clark Street and Stockton Drive the market will stay open through October 31st.

LOOP

Chicago’s $15.5 billion proposal to rejuvenate and expand transportation parks and commercial space downtown is moving forward.

A part of this expansion will include a new West Loop Transportation Center four levels underground that would connect commuter and intercity rail CTA rapid transit and newly created Central Area transitways.

RAVENSWOOD

Jane Addams of Hull House fame will be recognized in an exhibit at University of Illinois Chicago’s Jane Addams Hull House Museum.

The National Endowment for the Humanities gave $350000 for the exhibit and will be used to recreate Addams’ second-floor bedroom – previously closed to the public.

OAK PARK

Are you a model train buff? If so then you need to check out the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers Railroad Club.

The Club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Oak Park Public Library’s Dole Education Center building on West Division Street.
