Bucktown and Wicker Park: The Wicker Park Garden Club Plant Sale is back this weekend! The annual sale is presented by the garden club and the Chicago Park District. Vegetables, herbs, flowering annuals, hanging baskets, and more will be available for purchase. Weather permitting, the sale will be from 10 am to 4 pm Saturday and Sunday at 1425 N. Damen Ave. If it’s rainy, the sale will be moved inside the field house gym. Proceeds from the sale go towards maintaining Wicker Park’s gardens, including new plants and decorative urns for the center fountain.

Lakeview: Long-time sushi joint Nineface Thai and Sushi will be relocating this Sunday. Now at 3911 N. Sheridan (near the Sheridan L Stop), it is moving to 2965 N. Lincoln Ave. All the tenants of the small strip will be relocating (temporarily or permanently) for the arrival of a seven-story apartment building. The new building will include ground floor retail, so the developer hopes to retain some of his current tenants.

Chicago Loop: A new museum is coming to the Loop! The first of its kind in the nation, the American Writers Museum will open May 16 at 180 N. Michigan Ave. The museum will have five permanent galleries, two rotating ones, and more exhibits that showcase American authors. The museum will also include a “Reading Hall” that will host films, workshops, and live readings. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $8 for kids. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm Tuesdays through Sundays and 10 am to 8 pm on Thursdays. Find more information on their website!

Lincoln Ave.) She has written about food and wine for The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The New York Times, Food & Wine, and The Wall Street Journal. The event begins at 7 pm and wine will  be served. The book costs $17 and Bianca will stick around after the reading to sign books.

Oak Park: The Uncork Illinois Wine Festival is just around the corner! This is the fourth year of Downtown Oak Park’s event and it promises to be a spectacular day.
