It’s hard to believe that it’s the last weekend in July and there’s talk of going back to school already! But let us not forget that it is still summer and we’ve got a lot to look forward to yet!

Marking its 25th anniversary this year by expanding to four days Lollapalooza 2016 returns to Grant Park (337 E. Randolph St.) in The Loop with over 100 bands and musicians that include some of the top names in alternative, hip hop, pop and punk. Your headliners for Saturday are the “Red Hot Chili Peppers” and “Disclosure” and Sunday’s are “LCD Soundsystem” and “Ellie Goulding.” There’s also an Art Market, Chow Town and a festival within a festival as Kidzapalooza offers some family-friendly music as well as band camps and hairdo tents which is a perfect lil’ getaway for the kids!  Missed your favorite artist at the fest or just want to keep the party going, then checkout Lollapalooza Aftershows at some of the best venues around Chicago!!

One of Navy Pier’s most recognized events, Tall Ships® Chicago returns to Navy Pier (600 E. Grand Ave.) in the Streeterville neighborhood which actually kicked-off this past Wednesday and wraps-up on Sunday as the Pier hosts over 15+ majestic vessels where attendees have the rare opportunity to get an up close view of these incredible vessels! They’re welcome to board the ships and even sail out to sea, well, Lake Michigan, on one or more of the Tall Ships®!!

There’s a new location for this year’s Chicago Margarita Festival being held at the South Shore Cultural Center (7059 S. South Shore Dr.) this Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This outdoor festival combines a margarita tasting with food trucks, live Latin, merengue and salsa music, dancing, games such as corn hole, outdoor Jenga & beach volley ball and plenty of good ‘ole fashion fun! It’s a great way to spend the day lounging with family and friends!!

Back for its 16th year, the Jeff Fest Arts and Music Festival returns to Jefferson Memorial Park (4822 N. Long Ave.) in the Jefferson Park neighborhood this Saturday (2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.) and Sunday (2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.) featuring plenty of tasty food, arts & crafts, kid-friendly activities and jammin’ live music! New this year to the Fest will be Wine Tasting in the Park from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. both days!!

Billed as the largest Latino festival in the Midwest, and returning for its 43rd year, Fiesta del Sol takes place in the Pilsen neighborhood at 1400 W. Cermak Road (Loomis St. & Cermak Rd.) this Saturday (11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.) and Sunday (11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.). This Fest celebrates the Latin culture with a variety of food vendors, a huge lineup of music and entertainment, local art in the Arts & Culture Pavilion and a Kids’ Area that includes face painting, books & educational games, and other fun activities! It’s a great family event!!
