Streeterville: It’s been a year of virtual performances, but now jazz lovers can enjoy live music with the return of Tuesdays on the Terrace at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Anne and John Kern Terrace Garden, located at 220 East Chicago Avenue. Each Tuesday now until August 31, check out the sounds of artists like Thaddeus Tukes and the Chicago Freedom Ensemble, Chuck Webb’s Guru Tonic, the Greg Artry Quarter, amongst many others. This free socially distanced event kicks off at 5:30 pm on Tuesdays with two sets of great jazz. Light refreshments and a full bar will be on hand on the upper terrace. Find more info here.

Streeterville: Whether you’re an experienced green thumb or just looking for tips to learn how to keep your plants alive, head out to the Get Growing! Expo taking place at Pioneer Court, located 401 North Michigan Avenue, on Friday, June 4 through Sunday, June 6. Plant experts will be on hand to help you make the most of whatever green space you’re working with at this free event. Learn how to build your own terrarium, plant a veggie garden, and much more. If you can’t make it to Streeterville this weekend, don’t fret, the Get Growing! Uptown: Hard seltzer is having a moment these days, and you can sample over 50 flavors at Seltzerland takings place at the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course, located at 3600 North Recreation Drive on Saturday, June 26, beginning at 11 am. Sign up for your time slot and walk to each hole on the course as you sample a bevy of seltzers from the likes of White Claw, Vizzy, Half Past, and many more. Lincoln Park: The Old Town Art Fair returns to the Old Town Triangle Historic District after taking last year off due to the pandemic on Saturday, June 12, from 10 am to 7 pm through Sunday, June 13 from 10 am to 6 pm. Taking place at 1852 North Lincoln Avenue, this year’s art fair features 2D and 3D mixed media, paintings, photography, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry, and much more. In addition, there is also a garden walk, live music, a food court, and a children’s corner. Admission is free to this socially distanced event with a $12 suggested donation, and masks are required.
