Lakeview: Do you love improv? What about dogs? Can you imagine if the two were combined!? The Annoyance Theatre presents “Woof, And: Improv with Dogs”! On Sunday September 8 at 7:30 pm, talented actors will improvise with dogs as their scene partners. And what’s more- all of the dogs are adoptable! The event is partnered with Chicago Canine Rescue and half of the ticket price goes directly towards helping their organization. Tickets are just $12 and can be purchased here.

Chicago Loop: Bring the kiddos and get ready for Bit Bash! Bit Bash is Chicago’s Alternative Game Festival and it’s Saturday August 17 and Sunday August 17 at the Museum of Science and Industry! Hours on Saturday are from 9:30 am to midnight and on Sunday from 9:30 am to 4 pm. The festival features more than 80 brand new and unique games from developers and artists around the world. You’ll experience interactives that feature unique controllers and hardware, creative local multiplayer games, outdoor activities, interactive crowd performances, live music, food, drinks, tournaments, and more. Edgewater: Have you been to the Edgewater Farmer’s Market yet? Well, what are you waiting for!? This fantastic local market is every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm. You’ll find local produce, baked goods, cheeses, coffee, and other specialties. The market is located at Thorndale and Broadway. Evanston: It’s almost time for the 2019 Evanston Streets Alive & Green Living Festival! On September 8 from 1 to 5 pm, this festival will take place on a mile of Main Street, from Chicago Avenue to Crown Park. The street will be open for walking, biking, playing, art, and community. Main Street will become a mile-long public park for all to enjoy! The Green Living Festival is presented by the Evanston Environmental Association. This festival gives local businesses and organizations the opportunity to present their green products, services, and ideas to attendees; inspiring them to live a healthier and greener life.
