Lincoln Park: With this cool fall weather, it’s the perfect time for a run! The Great Pink Run is on Saturday October 5 at Diversey Harbor. There’s something for everyone with a 10K Challenge, a 5K Fun Run, Jog, or Walk. The race proceeds will go towards continuing to research a cure for breast cancer. Bucktown and Wicker Park: It’s time for the Chicago Margarita Crawl! The crawl is this Saturday September 21 from 2 to 8 pm. Registration takes place from 2-4 pm at Wynwood Chicago. Your ticket gives you access to more than five venues, discounted drinks at each stop, entry to the after party, free take-home swag (limited up to the first 100 people), and more. Lakeview: Back by popular demand, it’s the Patio Pig Roast: Tuco Style! Tuco and Blondie is hosting a pig roast on Thursday October 3 from 6 to 8 pm. You’ll enjoy a whole roast pig, an interactive food demo, a gorgeous patio, giveaways, and more. Tickets are $29 (plus tax) and include a family-style spread of pibil style pork shoulder, lechon pork loin, pork belly de pina, chicharrones, rice, beans, elotes, jardin salad, salsa roja and verde, and escabeche. Lincoln Square: It’s time for Party on the Parkway Progressive Dinner Party! This fabulous event benefits the DANK Haus. On Thursday September 26 from 6 to 9 pm, the event is hosted by the businesses in the 4700 block of Lincoln Avenue in the heart of Lincoln Square. The progressive dinner will feature bites from your favorite Lincoln Square restaurants including Artango Bar and Steakhouse, Vom Fass, Oromo Cafe, and more. There will be a raffle drawing and silent auction as well! Tickets are just $25 and can be purchased here. Your ticket includes a seven course tasting menu and proceeds go to the DANK Haus for future cultural programming. 

Logan Square: Mark your calendars for Family Fall Fest! Liberty Bank hosts this fantastic fall event on October 19 from 10 am to 2 pm. The festival features a live band from the Old Town School of Folk Music, The Traveling World of Reptiles, face painting, tattoos, a balloon artist, kids crafts, giveaways, a petting zoo, pony rides, and much more. Oak Park: Need a fun fall activity for you and your kiddos? Join Wonder Works Museum for the Collecting Nature event on Friday September 27! The event is from 10 am to 12 pm and is a hands-on science program geared towards kids ages 1-8. Your kids will learn about the natural world while collecting rocks, fossils, shells, bones, seeds, cones, and other objects produced by nature. At the Collecting Nature program, you’ll view, touch, sort, classify, learn about, and play with Wonder Works’ nature collections from around the world. You can also jump-start your own nature collection: sift through the sandbox to find rocks and shells you can either keep or trade at the Nature Collector’s Swap Shop.
