This week’s Summer Series is a hodgepodge of summer fun!

First up is the Lincolnshire Art Festival. On Saturday August 10 and Sunday August 11 from 10 am to 5 pm, the festival will celebrate its 22nd year. Over 100 juried artists will be in attendance offering fine arts and crafts in a variety of mediums and price points. The festival features live music on the music stage, great food, activities for kids including an art scavenger hunt and spin art, and much more. You also have the opportunity to see artists at work with interactive art demos and booth chats on both days! There will also be a mural on-site that you can contribute to. Admission is free and there is free parking onsite. 

If you love pizza and beer, Pizza & Pints is for you! Join the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce as they celebrate this delicious combo. On Thursday August 8 from 5 to 9:30 pm, you’ll explore the best of pizza and beer in Wrigleyville. Tickets are $20 and you’ll sample delicious bites of pizza and craft beer pints from your favorite pizzerias and bars. Stops are The Sandlot Wrigley with pizza from Si-Pie, Happy Camper, Full Shilling with pizza from Dimo’s Pizza, Beerhead Bar & Eatery, HVAC Pub, Aurelio’s Pizza, and Union Full Board. Your ticket includes 3 drink tickets good for a pint of craft beer, pizza samples at each stop, 1 drink ticket redeemable at Aurelio’s Pizza after-party, and raffle opportunities. Arbor Evenings are a weekly event at The Morton Arboretum. Each Wednesday from now until September 4, you can mingle with family and friends as you enjoy live music and dancing, lawn games, and refreshments; all in the gorgeous landscape of the Arboretum. Tickets include event admission, one beverage (beer, wine, or soda), activities, and live music. Tickets are required for all guests 21 years old and older. Families are welcome and children are admitted free. The live music is from 5:30 to 7:45 pm, ticket sales begin at 5 pm. Bring your own blanket or chair and your own food, if you’d like! There will be tapas plates available for purchase. Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted, but alcohol is available for purchase onsite.
