Bucktown and Wicker Park: Club Lucky is hosting their 29th Annual Mother’s Day Brunch! From 10 am to 2:30 pm on Sunday May 12, they will have a 29 item buffet. The buffet will feature well-known Club Lucky classics including fried calamari, chicken marsala, chicken vesuvio, along with scrambled eggs, a vegetable frittata, applewood smoked bacon, French toast, and more. The all-you-can-eat brunch is $31.95 for adults, $18.95 for children 6-12 years old, and complimentary for children 5 and under. Make your reservation here.

Lakeview: It’s a TV Mother’s Day Brunch and Lunch! Hosted by Jason Bailin and Stephen B, this fun and interactive Mother’s Day event is at Get in the Kitchen! on Sunday May 12. First, Jason will do a hands-on demo, showing you how to make your own Bagel Wrapped Weenies and dipping sauce. Then, Stephen B will serve a 4-course spring menu. In between courses, Jason will host fun activities with prizes! This event is BYOB and will feature a welcome “build-your-own” mimosa or Bloody Mary. Tickets are $79 and can be purchased here.

Lincoln Park: Treat your taste buds to an adventure while exploring Lincoln Park in “The Munch Around Lincoln Park Scavenger Hunt”. You and your teammates will sample a variety of gourmet treats, including cow-tippin’ ice cream, pretzel sandwiches, tasty cupcakes, hot dogs that starred on the Food Network, and drinks that Rachael Ray loved. This hunt is 2.5 hours long and requires good walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and a smartphone for team photo challenges. The next hunt is Saturday, May 18 at 12 pm and tickets are $19. Lincoln Square: It’s not too late to buy tickets for Brew It For The Kids 2019! This Saturday April 27 from 7-10 pm, sample dozens of home-brewed beers and ciders! This event supports Hamilton and Waters Elementary Schools. The brew lineup includes Lemondrop Saison, Flanders Red Kettle Sour, Ancho Chili Cider, Pineapple Jalapeño Cider, and a Kombucha. Andersonville: It’s finally farmers market season! The Andersonville Farmers Market is celebrating their 10th year and opens on Wednesday May 8. The market is open every Wednesday on  Berwyn Ave between Clark and Ashland from 3 to 8 pm. This market supports local farmers and producers! All items sold at the market are grown, raised, or made within 200 miles. 2019 vendors include Bennison’s Bakery, Black Cat Kitchen (new this year!), City Press Juice and Bottle, First Slice Pie Cafe, River Valley Ranch, Stamper Cheese Company, and many more. Evanston: Want something a little different for Mother’s Day? Check out the Evanston History Center’s House Walk! On Sunday May 12 beginning at 1 pm, this walk will celebrate 44 years of Evanston’s history and architecture. Houses will be open from 1 to 5 pm and ticket pickup  begins at 11:30 am. House Walk tickets are $40 in advance and $45 the day of. Evanston History Center members receive a $5 per ticket discount.
