Lincoln Park: Want a little nature with your Halloween fun? Supper with the Snakes at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum is for you! On Friday, October 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, don your best Halloween costume and come for an evening of scrumptious treats, slithery friends, and silly games. Trick or treat your way through a museum full of live snakes and explore new facts about snakes along the way. There will also be games and craft projects! Then, you can dance the night away at the best Halloween party of the year! This event is family friendly and all activities are appropriate for kids ages 2-10. Bucktown and Wicker Park: The Boundary in Wicker Park hosts “The IT Costume Party” on Saturday, October 27! This very scary package party is just $35. Your ticket includes food and beverage from 9 pm to 12 am (chips and guac, pretzel bites, wings, quesadillas, and more!), appearance by a very scary clown at 10 pm, a photo booth, and Best Costume prizes (first place is $250, second place is $100, and third place is $50). Lakeview: It’s time for the 2018 Adventure Film Festival Chicago! On Sunday, November 11 from 4-9 pm, this fantastic festival is held at the Music Box Theatre and showcases films about the great outdoors, ranging from serious outdoor exploration to environmental heroism. These films manifest the very spirit of adventure! All proceeds go towards the Sierra Club’s Chicago Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO). ICO is a volunteer-run community outreach program that provides opportunities for urban youth to explore and protect the natural world, while developing their leadership skills and honing a love for the outdoors. General admission tickets are $20 and VIP tickets are $45; both can be purchased here.

Edgewater: Edgewater Free Public Library has a fantastic Halloween event for your kiddos: The Toddler Halloween Pumpkin Patch Party on October 31! For kids ages 3 months to 4 years and their caregivers, the library will be transformed into a mini pumpkin patch overnight. Kids can select their own pumpkins to decorate! Afterwards, there will be a spooky storytime, snacks, and refreshments. Come dressed in costume and prepare to have a great time! The event is from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. It’s free, but you can complete your registration in advance here.

Logan Square: Are you looking for some super spooky Halloween fun?? You’ve got to check out Horror Society Partypalooza at The Logan Theatre. Held on Sunday, October 28, this scary event is hosted and DJ’ed by Horror Society and Bucket O’ Blood. Expect prizes throughout the evening from the hosts, as well as 3 Sheeps Brewing and Escape Reality! There will also be trivia, raffles, trailer reels, horror shorts, and more. There is no cover for Partypalooza! Stick around for two classic Halloween horror movies: Halloween and The Shining. Tickets are $9 a piece. Find more information here.

Evanston: Halloween is just two weeks away! Celebrate your Halloween in style in downtown Evanston on Saturday, October 27. Bring the whole family in costume and trick-or-treat at downtown businesses from 12-3 pm. You can also take part in special Halloween-themed activities! Check in at Bottle & Bottega Evanston (1016 Davis St.) or Gather (602 Davis St.) to pick up your map of all the Trick-or-Treat stops. After you’re done trick-or-treating, head to the Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston for a Halloween party from 3-5 pm.
