Lakeview: If you’ve been looking for a new way to get your sweat on, the Park at Wrigley has got you covered! The park will host boot camp, yoga, Pilates, and a weekly running club beginning on June 12. Shred415 hosts the running club, which will meet at 6 pm on Monday evenings (with the exception of game days). Boot camp begins at 7 am on Wednesday, June 14. The high-intensity interval training will be led by CrossTown Fitness trainers and personal trainer Kate Lemere. Mind Fuel Wellness and Bloom Yoga Studio will host alternating sessions of Pilates and yoga beginning June 15 at 7 am.

Bucktown and Wicker Park: Another pop-up restaurant is coming to Wicker Park! Riot Feast, a collaboration between Riot Fest and Saved by the Max, will open on July 8. Executive chef Brian Fisher describes it as “a communal family-style pop-up dining experience in a turn of the century carnival style environment.” The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday nights. Tickets for communal dining and VIP reserved elevated tables go on sale this Friday at 11 am on Riot Feast’s website. The restaurant has a limited three-month run at 1941 W. North Ave., so make sure to book your experience sooner rather than later.

West Loop: Farmers markets are in full force here in Chicago! The Green City Market West Loop opened for its third season this past Saturday. Located at Mary Bartelme Park (115 S. Sangamon St.), the market is open from 8 am to 1 pm every Saturday through October. Vendors include: 1871 Dairy, Ellis Farms, Soul Salsa, The Flower Garden, and Bennison’s Bakery. Green City Market also has outposts in Lincoln Park and the new Park at Wrigley. Find more information here, on their website.

Logan Square: Another new restaurant is coming to Logan Square! Chef Joe Frillman opened his first restaurant, Daisies, this Wednesday. Located at 2523 N. Milwaukee Ave., Daisies will serve unique pasta and vegetable-focused dishes. The opening night menu included intriguing dishes, like the fried mushrooms served with cheese curds and soft herbs. The Tajarin pasta also caught my eye: asparagus, mint, and chicken cracklin. Frillman plans to focus on locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. For now, hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm. They plan to expand to brunch and lunch service later this summer.

Portage Park: Lisa Kennedy and Jesse Roman, the husband and wife team behind The Garage Bar and Sandwiches, have renovated a 76-year old dive bar in Portage Park. Old 41 Saloon opened just last month at 7718 W. Addison St.  The couple hopes to lure in a younger crowd with an extensive craft beer list, craft cocktails, and 24 different types of whiskey. They offer 16 draft beers, as well as 116 bottled and canned beers. They are currently renovating a back room they hope to turn into a video arcade. They would like to open a front patio before the end of the summer as well! Come check out this cozy new spot.
