THIS WEEKEND IN CHICAGO – Chicago’s Neighborhoods Offer A Festful Weekend!

Another Festful Weekend is upon us as Chicago’s Neighborhoods host a myriad of street fests sure to please everyone!

The Lincoln Park neighborhood is offering the following street fests:

The Chicago Hot Dog Fest returns to 1701 N. Stockton Dr. (Stockton & LaSalle Drives) this Saturday and Sunday to once again celebrate this City’s love affair with the hot dog. Both traditional and new, exciting takes on the standard hot dog are being offered by some of Chicago’s great hot dog vendors such as Byrons Hot Dogs, Fatso’s Last Stand, Wiener Take All, Chubby Weiners and many others. There’s even a family fun tent featuring crafts, face painting, games, inflatables, rides, prizes and more as well as live music with a red hot lineup! It’s a Fest great for hot dog fans of all ages!! Hold the ketchup!!!

The Taste of Lincoln Avenue returns to Lincoln and Fullerton Avenues this Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. offering diverse flavors and dishes with 100+ food vendors. And, of course, there will be three music stages with nearly 30 acts; a Kids’ Carnival (12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.) offering a range of activities such as inflatables, face painting, games, prizes and more as well as a kids’ stage; and making its debut this year, Wine Tasting, will be located at Lincoln Ave. & Montana St. from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. where you can sample up to 15 varietals from the U.S. and around the world! This Fest is one of Chicago’s most iconic summer street fests you don’t want to miss!!

The Lakeview neighborhood is offering its Wrigleyville Summerfest which returns to 3300 N. Seminary Ave. (School St. & Seminary Ave.) this Saturday (12:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.) and Sunday (12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.) with its triple play of Great Food from neighborhood restaurants and vendors, Live Music from the best original and cover bands Chicago has to offer that include headliners Too White Crew and Hairbangers Ball, and Family Fun with a special Kids Zone that includes games, interactive activities and a moon bounce! It’s time to Play Ball at one of the City’s most popular neighborhoods!!

The Edgewater neighborhood is offering its EdgeFest this Saturday (12:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.) and Sunday (11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.) at 5900 N. Broadway St. (between Thorndale & Ardmore Avenues). This Fest offers local food vendors with an assorted menu that has something for everyone, two stages of live music that include headliners such as 16 Candles, Too White Crew and Trippin Billies, a special Karaoke Stage giving festival goers a chance to show us what they’ve got, 40 local Edgewater artists offering their wares and even a dog costume contest! This Fest is a one-of-a-kind experience unlike any other on the North Side with its outdoor café setting!!

Finally, the Pilsen neighborhood is proud to host their inaugural Tacos and Tamales Festivale at 16th Street and Peoria Street this Saturday and Sunday. This Fest is a street affair based on a traditional Mexican market known as the Tianguis which is an open air market or bazaar with local vendors selling their wide variety of goods. Highlights of this Fest will feature the best and most authentic Tacos and Tamales from several regions of Latin America, local art and merchant vendors, a beer garden featuring Modelo’s products, live Latin music and dance performances, and much more! This newcomer Fest sounds like a lot of fun!!
